This animatic shows the basic story line
for our trailer. It shows the first couple of shots that we will be using. This
helps us to organise what we are filming when we go out to film. Last year I found
it hard to know what to film as our animatic was so basic but this time we have
made a much more in depth one that’s going to help with the exact shots and
angles to shoot at.
I used a storyboard maker to create this
and I feel that its come out really well as you can see the characters clearly.
The settings are clearly set out helping us to show what props are meant to be
in each scene.
Before I created the animatic I wrote down
each individual shot that we could need to include in the story board-this
helped when it came down to actually making the animatic as its handy to have
everything written down and planned first then just going straight ahead and
making it. This way we were able to edit it fast and effectively with out
messing around with making shots and deleting them again. It’s also easy to
have a paper copy, as this is what we can take with us on our shooting sessions-
as well as having the animatic for a hard copy.
WWW: Well done Poppy, this type of visual planning works really well. It is clear that you have thought carefully about the effect of your final film.
